Cookie Policy
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. Some are needed for a site to function; others are optional. UK law says I have to ask before setting the optional ones — which is what the banner at the bottom of the screen is doing.
What this site uses
Essential — always on
These don't need consent because the site can't work properly without them.
- Your cookie choice — stored on your own device so the banner doesn't pester you on every page. Kept for 12 months.
- Security and delivery — set by my hosting provider to serve pages securely and protect against attacks.
Optional — only if you accept
- Anonymous page statistics — which pages get read, roughly which country visitors come from, and whether the site is working on mobile. It doesn't identify you and I never see your name from it.
If you press Reject optional, none of these are set and the site works exactly the same. You lose nothing.
Third-party services
If you message me on WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own policies apply inside their app. Fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. Anything you do on another company's website or app is governed by their policy, not mine.
Changing your mind
Click Cookie settings — here or at the bottom of any page — and the banner reappears so you can choose again. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Do Not Track
Because optional cookies only run if you actively accept them, this site respects your choice by default whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
